I saw Bruno

Yea, I laughed out loud several times.

I didn't love it. Not one bit. Didn't do that much for me at all.

Tom Green 2.0 minus Drew Barrymore.

I'm over it.

Hahaha, they showed a penis up close a lot.

Hahaha, I'm totally shocked at that visual.

Hahaha, look at those stupid people.

Hahaha, I can't believe he said that.

Hahaha, that was funny from the preview.

Hahaha, he made a nazi joke.

Hahaha, look at those rednecks.

Hahaha, look at those jesus freak rednecks.

Hahaha, look at those hunting rednecks.

Hahaha, how much longer?

Hahaha....

Whatever.

I liked Borat. I loved Da Ali G show on HBO.

It's not that it wasn't good. It's just that I've been here and done that.

Shock humor, so original.

Go see it and count how many people leave the theater. I'm in LA so everyone stayed. I hear that's not the case in many parts of this great country of ours.

I'd pay a hundred bucks to watch it with Sarah Palin.

  1. I saw it in South Carolina and no one walked out. I know, you'd think the Southern unclean philistines would walk out in droves. Did you know everyone from the South is an idiot? SBC taught us this.

SBC is a pussy for taking out:
    1. The original ending - That Bono/Sting/EJ/Snoop/Slash thing missed the boat so bad I wanted to cry. What a terrible ending.
    2. The LaToya Jackson part

  2. But he's a multi-millionaire, and he goes to sleep with Isla Fisher every night. So I'm the one who truly sucks.

  3. hmmmm, very interesting. This is the 1st non-glowing review I've heard. I'm going to watch this movie & if it's funnier than you say, I will have to deduct 1 credibility point.

  4. I'm really wondering what he's going to do next. It will probably be something really ridiculous that will end his career or life. Weren't a lot of the scenes in Bruno staged? I know Borat had staged scenes, but I heard Bruno had a lot more. And are you saying Tom Green flamed out? He has an online show that I will never watch and he had Freddie Got Fingered!

  7. stew, I've deducted one of your credibility points just for potentially questioning my credibility.

I think he should just act in movies, the guy is a good actor, he really immerses himself in these characters. If he was just a supporting member of a good cast a few times he could make a case for a normal, successful acting career. (I know, most normal acting careers aren't successful)

As far as the staged stuff, they made a movie. It contained less guerilla stuff than Borat.

As a member of the film industry, I can tell what is set up and what isn't. There were several plot elements that took advantage of ignorant civilians and several that were staged elements of a multi million dollar film production. It came off pretty smoothly, just didn't really impress me that much.

Don't get me wrong. I laughed quite a bit. There were some extremely inappropriate scenes that were definitely humorous.

But really? 90 minutes of that stuff?

I guess..... I'm glad he made a mint. Da Ali G show was genius.

This is his chance to change his bit or we'll pass him by.

  10. He used to be fluffer, but got promoted to gizz mixer.

Sacha was good in Talledaga Nights, so I think his career will keep going. Bruno is the last of the Ali G show characters, so if he keeps doing the guerilla comedy, I'll be surprised. Can't blame him for cashing in, and if Bruno is half way decent I'll be very impressed, 'cause he was the weakest character from the old show.
