Signing Troy O'Leary was one of those wacky Dan Duquette moves (signing Jose Offerman to play first base, dealing with scrubs like Arquimedes Pozo, Wes Chamberlain, Izzy Alcantra) that actually paid off. He was a nifty OF for a while, but then Duquette went nuts and actually gave him a couple million dollars.
